First Day of School

First day of first grade!

Blake started first grade!  Thursday, August 19th was his first day and it went very well.  I dropped him off in the morning and got to meet his teacher, Mrs. Holloway.  She seems very nice and Blake seems to really like her.  There was a bit of anxiety this year because Blake is now going to a different school, Clegern Elementary, instead of Oklahoma Christian Academy where he had been the last two years.  We loved OCA, but decided that now was the year to start public school since I will soon be home as a full-time Mama.  Luckily, Clegern is what's known as a lottery school, which means that it has fewer students.  This made us feel a lot more comfortable about the switch (and lucky to have been picked in the lottery!)  Blake is adjusting great and has already decided that first grade is too easy.  We'll see about that!
