And then there were none...

The 17th is finally here!  That day we have been anxiously awaiting since we found out the news.  It's here...but nothing is happening.  I guess little Hart is happy where he is for now.  I've been walking as much as possible, tried a foot massage and even resorted to drinking apple cider (I heard a rumor that it starts labor!) but have experienced nothing more than a few light contractions.  So, hang in there with us if you will.  I promise that we will have a baby sometime in the next seven days, if not before!

Little Blessings

If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's that God's timing is perfect.  I was reminded of that today when I had lunch with Blake at his school.  Although we are so anxious for this baby to get here, it was wonderful to be able to sit down, just Blake and I, and have a mom, son lunch together.  He was so excited to have me there and I even enjoyed the school lunch- Frito chili pie, one of my late pregnancy cravings.  So, I'm thankful for these little blessings and will continue to wait for the timing of the one who knows what He's doing!

Back to Counting

Two more days until my due date!  This countdown is getting a little old isn't it??  Well, maybe it's just me.  :)  We are soooo ready for baby Hart to make his arrival!  Unfortunately, we don't have a clue as to when he will get here!!  So, until then we are just waiting and enjoying our last few nights of sleep.  Feel free to call or text us for any updates, but don't worry, we will let everyone know when he is for sure on his way.   In the meantime, remember to say a prayer for a safe labor and delivery and a healthy baby.  We'll keep you posted!

We're still here!

We've just been busy!

Saturday we went to Blake's first soccer game of the season.  Blake had a great time and his team won 3-0.  We really like the fact that his coach is stressing the importance of learning the basics of the game and, most importantly, having fun.

That afternoon we cheered the Sooners on to victory (in our living room, but I wish we could have been there!)  After that, Josh and I headed to a wedding while Blake stayed home with a babysitter.  It was nice to have a "date night" with Josh and have a little adult time before the real work begins!

Nothing new to report on the baby front.  As you can tell from the pictures, I'm still very pregnant, but not unbelievably uncomfortable (yet.)  It's starting to get hard to walk and poor Josh is having a hard time slowing down to keep up with me!  With only 4 more days until my due date, I'm starting to get a little anxious.  The three of us are ready though, and any time now we will have our new addition!  Stay tuned!

Seven Days to go...maybe?

Seven days to go!!!!  I don't know if this baby will wait that long though.  Last night I was having contractions- not too painful and not regular, but they were definitely contractions.  So, it could be literally any time now.  I could also still be typing away a week from now!  These babies have a mind of their own don't they?!
Today I am trying to focus on my last day at work.  My wonderful coworkers are having a pot luck lunch for me today to say farewell.  I'm going to miss this place and all I have learned over the past few years, but I can't wait to be a stay at home mom again!  Blake is really looking forward to it too.  That means the world to me!!  So for now, I will enjoy my last day as a working mommy and try not to stress about whether or not this countdown will make it to day number 6!

39 weeks today!

Yay!  We've made it to 39 weeks!  For some reason, this has been my goal the entire pregnancy.  I wanted to make sure that baby boy was good and cooked before he was born.  So, now that this goal has been met, I will try to be happy with the waiting game.  Josh and Blake are getting very excited, but not overly anxious quite yet.  Although Josh does ask me, "Is it go time?" every time I say I've had a contraction.  :)  So, the countdown is at 8 days for now.  We'll keep you posted!

Interesting Number...

Nine more days!  Hmmm, nine is an interesting number isn't it?  It doesn't seem to get much credit compared to it's predecessor number 10.  10 is exciting- the big start of the countdown!  While 9 is, well, kind of boring.  No offense to the 9 of course.  For me, this 9th day before my baby is due, 9 is actually pretty comforting.  I awoke about 3:30 this morning to a fairly big contraction.  Big enough to make my heart beat a little faster as I thought, "Is this it?!?"  Well, no, it wasn't.  I was back to sleep in less than ten minutes.  But in that ten minutes I thought of all the things I need to get done before this baby gets here!  So, thank you number 9.  Thank you for giving me that extra day to get a few more things checked off my list!

Let The Countdown Begin!

Ten more days until Baby Hart is due to make his arrival!  Now, we all know that most babies don't cooperate by arriving on their due date.  Mr. Blake, probably in an effort to prove just what a homebody he is, didn't come until exactly one WEEK past his due date.  Will this little one do the same?  I'm hoping not.  Obviously.  The remainder of this labor day week will be very busy at the Hart household, so I'm actually hoping that little guy stays put for at least a few more days.  He is showing no signs of wanting to leave yet, so I think we're safe on that account!  Either way, we are so excited to meet our newest addition and to share that experience with our friends and family.  So stay tuned...the countdown has begun!
