What's in a blog?

So I went and did it. I joined this crazy world known as the blogosphere. A place where the sport known as blogging garners even more enthusiasm than an Oklahoma football team in a national title game.  A true Okie might scoff at that notion, but I assure you that many in the blog world take their sport almost as seriously as a football fan takes a starting quarterback's shoulder injury.
Being one to never shy away from a serious task, I've decided to jump in and suit up. Unfortunately, I am already being heckled from the stands. Well, the living room sofa to be exact. The very patriarch of the Hart family has found much amusement at the expense of this little project of mine. Yes, Mr. Hart has reminded me on many occasions that I am now one of those- shudder, gasp!- bloggers.
Honey, I will happily oblige you on this one, I am officially starting a blog. And I have a reason for what some might consider nonsense. That reason happens to be approximately 2.25 pounds and currently dancing a sweet little jig on my bladder!  It's baby boy Hart who has been the inspiration behind this online diary of our family.

Not only will this blog serve as the perfect baby book after his arrival, it will also allow our friends and family from all over the globe (well, U.S. and Saudi Arabia anyways!) to be updated regularly on the happenings of our growing family.

So what IS in a blog? In our case it will hopefully be a source of joy to us as well as our family and friends as our little family grows. We hope you enjoy!
